Some points to note:

• They refer to the person responsible for safeguarding in an organisation as the Designated Safeguarding Person (DSP) (they also refer to the LADO role in Social Services as the same name in the Wales procedures) – You may want to consider using this terminology when you introduce yourself when you make enquiries or a referral to statutory agencies.
• There are lots of useful resources and practice guides linked from the guidance, e.g. this domestic abuse and safeguarding guide is particularly pertinent given the reports to Childline during the pandemic and the nature of things children may disclose when they return to sport. https://www.safeguarding.wales/chi/c6/c6.p4.html
• The guidance links to each of the local safeguarding board websites with their up to date contact details. It is worth you checking the details you have or link to on your websites are up to date.
