It is with great sadness that I have to notify you all that Jean de Souza passed away today.
Jean fought a long brave battle against her illness but is now at peace.
Jean was not just a Past President of Wales and of her County Glamorgan but she also served both organisations, the Welsh Umpires and Coaching Associations and her Club Mount Pleasant in a number of offices over many, many years.
She worked diligently for the game she loved and will be remembered by so many who have worked with and played alongside her. Her courage and determination in fulfilling her duties as Welsh President so bravely during her illness epitomised her commitment to our sport.
Rest in peace Jean.
